Joint-Stock Company “ZAVOD TRUD” is the centre for development and production of beneficiating machines.
Today, “ZAVOD TRUD” is a leading enterprise of Russia that produces gravity beneficiating equipment for ferrous, non-ferrous and rare metals industries. Under market economy conditions the plant has preserved its specialization and keeps supplying to the market modern jigs, concentration tables, radial and lamella thickeners, contact tanks and mixers, titanium-made constructions, etc.
Joint-stock Company “ZAVOD TRUD” is the developing producer of beneficiation equipment in Siberia.
The history of “ZAVOD TRUD” goes way back to the beginning of the century. In 1904 a private enterprise “Mechanical Plant” was founded to deal with production and repairs of river ships, steam and manual pumps, equipment for grain mills as well as with production of agricultural utensils.
Starting from the 30’s, due to development of gold mining industry in Siberia and the Far East, the plant gradually switched over to production of equipment for gold washing of alluvial gold ore.
By the end of 1937 the plant had finalised its specialization as a producer of beneficiation and technological equipment for processing of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
In the period from 1937 to 1943 over 60 types of produce had been developed, which enabled it to substantially decrease or altogether cancel import of such equipment from abroad. By early 50’s the plant became an exporter of such produce.
Without stopping its production of beneficiation equipment during the World War II years, the plant became one of the first enterprises of Novosibirsk to manufacture military produce - chambers for rocket shells, mine bodies - and to conduct capital repair works on tanks. In the same years the country required diamonds most acutely. By a Decree of the Government there appeared diamond-extracting plants in the Urals, and “ZAVOD TRUD” manufactured for them over two hundred jigs and several dozens of washing devices in very limited time.
The plant took part in the construction works of the new railway bridge, of the “Sibselmash” and the Tchkalov Aircraft plants; there is hardly a plant in Novosibirsk which was built without any assistance from “ZAVOD TRUD”.
Due to its proximity to the downtown area and rather limited territory, the plant has not become “an industrial giant”, but the “ZAVOD TRUD” plant of today is a leading enterprise - producer of gravitational beneficiation equipment, special technological equipment and spare parts for such. At the same time, the plant developed production of non-standard equipment, an assortment of spare parts for coal industry, railways and construction industry.
Produce with its trade mark are in operation on the whole territory of Russia - from the Cola Peninsula to Tchukotka, in 39 countries of the world, and the number of the latter grows every year.
Under conditions of market economy, in spite of all the difficulties of this period, the plant has managed to preserve all its production capacities and specialization. The many years experience of producing beneficiation equipment and extensive technical potential enable manufacturing of equipment with good technical and economic characteristics and of high quality, sticking to contractual terms and having competitive prices. The plant comprises R&D Centre of Mining and Beneficiation Machines, which deal with development of new technologies and equipment. Here they create beneficiation machines of the world standards. Special designed buro of mining- concentration equipment was founded in 1959. Group of specialists of the design apartment of “Zavod Trud” was entered into the stuff of SKB.
Regions of Siberia, Far East and Extreme North were built by new and fast- developed mining- concentration plants in the beginning of 60th .
There was accumulated experience in exploitation of domestic and foreign technique. In that period SKB GOM was founded. The purpose of foundation - specialization in development modern ideas and improvement of existed mining - concentration machines.
